Snowfall outlook

Today is Saturday here in Australia and ill be posting an extensive outlook for the snow over the next few days for the Australian Alps.

Lets begin starting today:

The weather is currently 6 degrees at the perisher valley and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much moisture around but there is a slight chance for a dusting over the peaks. It would most likely fall as rain around the village as the freezing level is sitting just a little bit high.

Tomorrow, being Sunday the 21st of June there is a small bit of hope some
of continuing throughout the day. Although unfortunately the freezing level may be too high for snowfall to accumulate on the lower valley. However we may see some snowfall above 1700-1750m (1-3cm) throughout the nigh.

Further outlook, over the next couple of days there looks like a small system will arrive on Tuesday giving the resorts a top up through until Friday which will hopefully add to the snow level.

As you can see the snow depth is on the decline, but ive added the last seasons graph just so you can see the difference.

My weather images have been resourced from weatherzone and my snow levels from the Snowy Hydro homepage.
